Itinerary
Your journey begins with a warm welcome at the Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. Board a private AC vehicle and embark on a scenic drive to the charming hill station of Darjeeling. The journey offers spectacular views of the shifting landscapes as you ascend into the Himalayas. Upon arrival in the evening, check into your hotel, freshen up, and relax. Dinner will be at the hotel, followed by a restful night.
Start your day early with a drive to Tiger Hill to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range. After breakfast, explore the vibrant town of Darjeeling. Visit the famous Darjeeling Zoo, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park. Enjoy a scenic ride on the historic Darjeeling toy train (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Later, explore the local markets, shopping for tea and local handicrafts. After breakfast, check out and proceed to the charming town of Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. The drive offers stunning views of the lush green valleys and the majestic Kanchenjunga range. En route, visit the scenic Batasia Loop and the War Memorial. Upon arrival in Gangtok, check into your hotel and spend the evening exploring the vibrant MG Marg, known for its cleanliness and vibrant local culture. Dinner will be at the hotel.
After breakfast, embark on a local sightseeing tour of Gangtok. Visit the serene Rumtek Monastery, one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in Sikkim. Later, visit the Enchey Monastery, known for its beautiful architecture and peaceful ambiance. Spend the afternoon exploring the local markets, shopping for traditional Sikkimese artifacts and jewelry. Conclude the day with a delicious dinner at the hotel.
Early in the morning, begin your excursion to the beautiful Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake) and the historic Nathula Pass. The drive offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains and the pristine alpine landscape. At Tsomgo Lake, enjoy a yak ride (at your own expense) and take in the serene beauty of the lake. Continue your journey to Nathula Pass, the border between India and China. Enjoy the panoramic views and the historic significance of the pass. Return to Gangtok in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and begin the return journey to Siliguri/New Jalpaiguri. The drive will take you back through the scenic mountain roads and the plains.
